Rates

Clear rates

One clear hourly rate, everything included.

We apply an all-in hourly rate — no "office surcharge" or hidden costs on top of the rate. Only costs that we pay on your behalf to the court, bailiff, or other third parties are charged separately.

How many hours do you spend on my case?

Much depends, of course, on how many documents and how much correspondence we need to read to properly assess your case. A general rule of thumb, based on years of experience, is the following:

± 5 hours
Advice
Advice without having to negotiate with an opposing party.
± 10 hours
Representation
Representation in and negotiation with an opposing party.
± 20 hours
Legal proceedings
Full legal proceedings.

If you do not qualify for subsidised legal aid, we ask for an advance payment covering the expected number of hours and court fees (where applicable). We determine the expected number of hours using the rule of thumb above.

Subsidized legal aid

Pro bono or discount up to 75%.

Are you eligible for subsidized legal aid? Then we will apply for that subsidy on your behalf and work according to that scheme — wherever in the world you live, as long as the Dutch court has jurisdiction.

Do you (just) not qualify? Then we will see if you qualify for a discount on our regular rate.

Conditions
  • No assets above € 36,952 (threshold amount 2024).

  3. For foreign income: completed form "Income and Assets Declaration" from the Legal Aid Board, with supporting documents and BSN.

Outcome assessment

Note: the outcome threshold in 2026

You must still pay all attorney costs yourself if the proceeds of the case are equal to or higher than the outcome threshold.

This amounts to € 19,239.50 in 2026. You will therefore not qualify retroactively for subsidized legal aid or a discount on our regular rate for your case.

The idea behind it is that you should be able to pay our normal rate due to the favorable outcome of our work. More explanation can be found here.
