Deposit not refunded?
Has your rental ended and you have wrongly not received your deposit back? Then read on!
Try it yourself first
You will recover your deposit the fastest and most economically by asking for it yourself in writing. If that doesn’t work, send a registered letter at least once. You can download an example with explanation here.
In the registered letter (you may also send it by registered e-mail, as long as the proof of receipt is reliable) you also claim interest and debt collection costs.
What if my ex-landlord fails to return my deposit even after a registered letter?
Then it is time to engage us. Be sure to check our fees page to see if you are eligible for government-subsidised legal aid or discounts on our hourly rate, otherwise hiring a lawyer could well be more expensive than what it pays for.
